Jaden Philogene-Bidace (21) is a talented player that I have had my eye on for quite some time, so here we are. The young winger only just left Aston Villa to join Hull City permanently, at a steal of a price. He was lighting up the championship before an unfortunate injury, so here’s all you need to know before he returns. Read more if you are interested in the Jaden Philogene talent that is worthy of so many more eyes on his game.
Philogene's History
Jaden Philogene-Bidace was born (Feb, 8 2002) in London England to English/Dominican parents. He’s represented England in the youth setup, and most recently the U21 Euros so his decision looks clear.
He spent some time playing for local clubs before joining ProDirect: London Academy in 2019. After just one year he transitioned into Aston Villa’s U18 squad. Over the next couple of years, he was loaned out twice (Stoke, and Cardiff) before leaving for good.
He’s currently valued at $8m, which means Hull has already made money on their investment just 5 months ago.
Jaden Philogene-Bidace Playstyle
The tricky winger has a knack for getting involved in the goals, as well as creating them. The biggest compliment I can give him is that he can destroy defenders from either side of the pitch. Going even further, he can take on these defenders both ways with a great variety of skills on his locker. Talented.
Jaden Philogene-Bidace (21) stats this season: (Championship)

- 6 Goals

Dribbling is key
Since Jaden has joined Hull City, he has been shredding the opposition for fun. There’s no question that he just needed a team to give him time and he would come through.
If we take a look at how he is on the ball, it’s everything you would want. He’s picking up the ball in the attacking 3rd and always driving into the box. Any defender in the world is going to hate playing against such a direct winger.
Additionally, while he does that, it’s rare to see him get tackled. He has a strong build for a winger standing at 5’10.
The only thing I’d like to see him improve is being more careful with the ball.
On-the-ball Rating
A striker-esque output
The biggest wow factor of Jaden-philogene’s talent is his goalscoring output. 6 Goals + 5 assists in 14 matches is extremely impressive for a winger.
What it comes down to is his shot-creating action tendencies. Almost every single take-on leads to a shot. That’s bizarrely efficient.
Furthermore, he wins plenty of fouls in the process. His style reminds me of Antonio Nusa.

Overall Rating
The 21-year-old winger is blessed with a talent that could easily see him return to the premier league in the next few seasons. We have seen so many premier league ballers develop in the championship recently, so don’t question the possibility.
The only negative in this situation is that he’s been injured for quite some time so Hull has decided to sign Fabio Carvalho on loan for the rest of the season. This will either affect his game time or form a promotion-worthy partnership. Only time will tell about this Jaden Philogene talent.
